What a snapshot is (official)
HighLevel describes snapshots as reusable templates that capture selected configuration assets from a sub-account so they can be copied into new or existing sub-accounts. You build the source sub-account first, then create the snapshot from it. Snapshots transfer configuration, not live account activity or customer records (Snapshots overview).
How agencies use them
- Start every new client from a tested setup
- Keep a niche template (e.g. for trades or clinics) up to date
- Share a setup with another agency
- Sell a snapshot on HighLevel's App Marketplace, with one-time, monthly or yearly pricing and IP protection, per HighLevel's docs
Marketplace details: Selling Snapshots on the App Marketplace, checked 4 Nov 2026.
After loading a snapshot
- Fill in custom values (business name, links, phone).
- Connect the client's domain, email and phone.
- Test every workflow on a test contact.
My free setup checklist covers these steps and includes starter templates.
